Why does the BFP devote so much space to global warming?
Every week for months now the Bucks Free Press has devoted large areas of its letters pages to a debate about global warming.
Have the people of High Wycombe nothing better to whinge about than that?
Their comments and observations are of no interest other than to those few involved in this fruitless debate.
Surely, BFP, your readers have something of more interest to rant on about?
We all now know that global warming - sorry climate change (we have to call it that because everything is getting colder) - is nothing more than a cheap thrill dreamed up by demented publicity seeking scientists and politicians determined scare the world into submission so they can rule supreme!
Come on BFP, cut out the nonsense about global warming and give us more space for real issues like renewing rail links between High Wycombe and Bourne End, and our awful potholes (although interesting to see a smart U turn by the authorities over that one!).
And more space to talk about to our empty shops and why Eden has been allowed to wreck our town centre, and why the open air swimming pool on the Rye has to close, and why our authorities are going to spend oodles of our dosh on a new stadium for Wycombe Wanderers and the Wasps. Shouldn't they pay for their own new stadium...?
